10年前のバドミントンホールは改修を受けています

アムリトサルの数十年前の2コートの屋内バドミントンホールは、現代の要求を満たすために再び改修とアップグレードを受けています。地元のシャトラーは、この都市が国際トーナメントを開催するために新しい6コーストバドミントン施設を必要とするようになったと考えています。

ホールは1996年に最初に改装され、当時の副委員KBSシドゥが更新された施設を開設しました。 2006年に再び刷新され、当時の副委員であるKirandeep Singh Bhullarが率いる就任式が行われました。

ホールは現在、130人以上のアクティブプレーヤーとアムリトサル地区バドミントン協会の約70人のメンバーを含む、毎日200を超えるシャトラーに対応しています。アクティブなプレーヤーの大半は女の子で、現在3人が全国レベルで競争しています。

元ナショナルプレーヤーであり、アムリトサル地区バドミントン協会の秘書であるNavjot Singh Bhullarは、最近、ホールに2つの新しい木製コートの設置を監督しました。さらに、6月までに2つの新しい裁判所マットがインストールされる予定です。アップグレードに資金を提供するために、協会の約70人のメンバーが資金をプールし、民間企業からも支援を受けました。協会の上級副社長であるSanjeev Kapoorは、改修プロセスで極めて重要な役割を果たしました。

現在、このホールは、8人以上の国内メダリストと数人の国家メダリスト、2人の国際レベルのプレーヤーにサービスを提供しています。その中には、全国トーナメントに定期的に競う17歳未満の州のチャンピオンであるニレシュセスがいます。

元ステートメンズチャンピオンであるアディヤヤンカッカルは、現在、次のチャンピオンシップのためにベンガルールでトレーニングを行っています。一方、インターナショナルプレーヤーのMayank Behalは、2025年9月にタイで開催される今後の世界選手権の準備をしています。 Bealは、ゴアで開催された2025ナショナルチャンピオンシップで、シングルで銅メダルを獲得し、ダブルスでシルバーとダブルスで銀メダルを獲得しました。 30年にわたるキャリアで、Behalは、13歳未満、16歳未満、19歳未満を含むさまざまな年齢カテゴリで25の州のタイトルを獲得しました。彼はまた、1998年と1999年にジュニアナショナルズの2つのエディションで銅メダルを獲得しました。Behalは、Guru Nanak Dev UniversityでMBAを修了し、2009年にインド鉄道を辞任した後、インド食品公社（FCI）のマネージャーとして働いています。

特に、このホールは、1974年のアジアのゲームイベントでの全国ダブルスチャンピオン兼銅メダリストであるアルジュナ賞を受賞したダビンダーアフジャや、1965年にアジアのバドミントンタイトルを獲得した最初のインド人であるディネシュカンナなどの著名なバドミントンの人物をホストしています。

改修に加えて、約20人の子供が毎日午後2時から4時までホールで無料のコーチングを受け、市内の将来のバドミントンの才能を育てるのに役立ちます。
