政府の統計によると、平均27,600ドルの負債を持つ大学卒業生は5,520ドルを節約できるという。 20% の減額には上限はなく、VET ローンや見習い支援ローンにも適用されます。
5月の予算案に詳述されている学生ローンの物価スライドの設定方法の変更と組み合わせると、オーストラリア人300万人の200億ドル近くの学生ローンが解消されることになる。
